Jen Wilson, chief marketing officer at Lowe’s, stated that the holidays should be about enjoying your home, not stressing over everything it takes to get it ready. Wilson said that whether customers are decorating, hosting, finding the right gift or tackling that last project before guests arrive, Lowe’s wants to make every step a little easier so they can spend less time getting ready for the holidays and more time enjoying them.
Shoppers aim to economize this holiday season by leveraging Black Friday and Cyber Week promotions. Adobe’s analysis forecasts a 9.2% increase in Black Friday sales to $12.9 billion, while Cyber Week sales are expected to grow by 7.4% annually, reaching $47.5 billion.
A recent ICSC survey found that almost 70% of respondents said discounts, promotions, and exclusive deals would drive more in-store shopping. Nearly half of the respondents anticipate borrowing money to cover holiday purchases they cannot pay for in full.
